Job description

NeuroRehab Allied Health Network exists to empower people with a neurological condition to live life full of choice, inclusion and new possibilities.

Our core values are - We’re on your team, We Innovate, We are Enthusiastic and We Expand Horizons!

We are a respected, multi-disciplinary rehabilitation service catering to the unique needs of People with neurological conditions of all ages. With a team of 230 people, we provide the most comprehensive allied health services in our sector with innovative rehabilitation centres across Melbourne, Geelong, Hobart and Albury and an extensive home visit and community-based service.

We’re an organisation that continuously makes improvements in the support that we provide our team members. So much so that the international consulting group Great Places to Work™️ last year ranked us as the 4th Best Workplace in Australia! This isn’t enough for us -we’re looking for someone to help us drive us forward in achieving our 1st place goal.

Are you an HR generalist who knows their stuff, that wants to make a real difference in the working lives of team members (which then improves the outcomes of People with a disability), is a champion in DEIB and believes they are ready to lead and support a P&C team to success? If so, read on…

Head of Culture & People position (culture is that important to us we have put it first!)

Our Head of Culture & People plays a key leadership role within the senior management team at NeuroRehab Allied Health Network – the position works regularly with our executive team and  reports directly to the CEO. With executive support, you will be responsible for leading strategic People directions and delivery of team member services across the organisation. You will lead, support and provide cover for our Team Member Services department, to ensure the team achieves both overall company targets and their individual functional accountability objectives. You’ll need to be ready to step into talent acquisition, team member compliance, performance management, disputes and disciplinary actions when demand in these areas temporarily increases (ie. being ready to not just lead but also help out your direct reports as needed).

The successful candidate will be passionate about promoting a diverse workplace buzzing with fresh ideas and innovation that’s powered by a culturally diverse environment. You will be the champion in this space to help NeuroRehab Allied Health Network remain a certified Great Workplace Australia organisation. We believe culture is a crucial aspect to our organisation’s success – we are looking for like-minded individuals that share our belief. Our current HRIS is ELMO and we would love to recruit someone that has experience in this system that can use and teach it confidently.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Overall management of People services including recruitment, HR integrity, performance management, learning, well-being, diversity and communications.
  • Develop, execute, and optimise people strategy in alignment with organisational priorities.
  • Continually work to refine our employee value proposition for optimal recruitment and retention success.
  • Be the subject matter expert (and promoter) for wellbeing and psychosocial risk, as well as diversity, equity,  inclusion and belonging.
  • Be the subject matter expert for IR and be the first approver for all team member employment agreements.

  • Facilitate the implementation of mandatory training and development.
  • Amendments to team member employment variations and details.
  • Encourage, lead, support and bring excitement to Team Member Services (your team).

We are looking for the successful applicant to have full-time availability but will consider applications for part-time of at least 30 hours per week for the right candidate. A hybrid role capacity is available with 2 days required to be present at our Deer Park office space.

The Ideal Candidate will have:
