This is a highly visible leadership role and critical to demonstrate and help drive the overall Woolworths Group purpose and Safety, Health and Wellbeing ambition. It will navigate and manage operationally and functionally complex environments,including working with multiple businesses and teams that are diverse in nature, scope and objectives.
- Lead and develop a team of Safety, Health and Wellbeing professionals to effectively partner with the Supermarket and Operations leaders across the country through building strong and trusted relationships.
- Working closely with key stakeholders both within the broader Supermarkets SHW team and the wider Platform SHW team and representing the Supermarkets SHW Delivery team to ensure the ability to appropriately deliver across stores.
- Work with operational and functional leaders through to frontline teams to drive strong and consistent SHW risk management and where needed improve SHW performance for the successful and safe delivery of business objectives
- Promote purposeful SHW engagement and active leadership through providing the right guidance, coaching and tools, along with being a “trusted advisor”
- Identify and capture actionable insights and trends internally and externally to address emerging trends and risks
- Provide thought leadership across the Woolworths Group including benchmarking and other insights to drive continued improvement in how we manage our risks
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years work experience, ideally within Retail or similar fast paced environment
- Worked at Executive level for at least 5 years, but has the flexibility and attitude to roll up sleeves to develop and deliver. Is able to strategize, think big but also deliver
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Safety or related field
- Worked in a modern day matrix environment
- Strong risk management and operational knowledge and experience in delivering safety programs at scale
