Health Support Specialist
About the role:
Due to expansion within our health and injury management space, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Support Specialist to join a high achieving and collaborative team here at AGL.
This role would suit someone already in Health Support, looking to expand their experience in a large organisation or a graduate seeking to gain commercial experience within their selected field.
The Health Support Specialist will work with the Operational and Health, Safety and Environment Teams to ensure our Medical and Health Surveillance Records are securely and confidentially stored within the designated company software platform. Maintenance of the platform is essential to ensure our employees exposure to chemical, physical and biological hazards are appropriately monitored and controlled.
The role is a part of the corporate Health Team which services the operational facilities located in SA, Vic, NSW and QLD.
Key accountabilities of this role:
Upload and maintain Health Surveillance Records (pre-employment medicals, medical treatments, asbestos health surveillance, vaccinations, wellness and occupational hygiene records) for AGL employees in the designated Health Platform
Assisting with the preparation and scheduling of reports and dashboards
Facilitating the purchasing process and invoice management for the Health Team
Assist with the management and tracking of the Health Team actions and annual plan
Internal and external Stakeholder Management
Assist with Health Team initiatives and programs.
What we need from you:
Experience as a Medical/Health Administrator/injury or related occupation
Occupational Health Data Entry experience preferred
Experience in Health Support services such as injury, wellbeing, and return to work is highly advantageous
Knowledge of health and medical terminology
Intermediate MS Office Skills
Ability to work in a team environment with competing priorities
Work with confidentiality and high level of tact and diplomacy
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
