Melbourne Equipment Rentals (MER) is a team of EWP and height machinery experts based in Laverton North. We pride ourselves on offering some of the highest quality, most reliable equipment for rent, and service to clients all over Victoria.
Founded in 2018, MER has grown significantly in the last 5 years, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller to join our team.
About the Role:
As the Hire representative to our customers, we support you with the training and development you need to be successful in your role. The Hire Controller will love dealing directly with our customers. They are responsible for providing outstanding customer service on the phone or in branch, coordinating hire contracts, and providing expert advice to our customers through their intimate knowledge of our range of equipment we hire.
Key roles include
- Always provide exceptional customer service
- Assist customers over the phone with enquiries, bookings & off hires
- Create, update, and finalise hire schedules
- Co-ordinating customer hire contracts and branch administration
- Make recommendations about complementary equipment or products that will support the customer's needs
- Maintain a good knowledge of our range of gear to help find the best solutions for our customers
- Opening and closing the branch as required
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as: Customer service, Construction, Hospitality, Retail, Transport & Warehousing
- Previous experience in a customer service role, and a genuine interest in helping others
- A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions, including the ability to both work as part of a team and to work autonomously to complete tasks within required timeframes
- Time management skills including the ability to plan and schedule in accordance with changes in priorities
