Hire controllers play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service to our clients through their equipment knowledge, responsiveness, problem solving and attention to detail.
As a Hire Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end process of equipment rental and ensuring the efficient deployment of heavy machinery to meet our clients project requirements. Excellent communication skills will be the key to this role including coordinating with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders, arranging logistics and the transport of equipment and maintaining accurate records.
This role demands keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of heavy machinery operations. Working in the hub of the business as a member of the rental team, you will be the primary point of contact for clients seeking heavy machinery rentals, dealing with enquiries in a friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner and ensuring that the right equipment gets to the site at the right time.
The role will see you:
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients seeking heavy machinery rentals, dealing with enquiries in a friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner.
• Understand client requirements and provide appropriate equipment recommendations while providing the highest levels of customer service.
• Locate equipment required and ensure it is available and ready for on Rental at the time at the required time, working with other internal teams and utilising exceptional negotiation and influencing skills when needed
• Collaborate with clients to ensure timely and efficient equipment deployment.
• Ensure that clients and other stakeholders receive timely and accurate information throughout the Rental process and problems or obstacles are overcome collaboratively
• Follow up with clients throughout the Rental process to ensure that the entire Rental process runs smoothly, efficiently and meets the needs of the client
• Follow up with clients post Rental to ensure that the clients expectations were met and to build an on-going relationship with the client that will ensure their repeat business
• Work closely with the operations and Yard Team to assess equipment availability and readiness for deployment.
• Coordinate with maintenance and service teams to ensure machinery is in optimal condition before rental.
• Communicate effectively with various departments to streamline processes and address potential challenges.
• Draft and review rental agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurately reflected.
• Collaborate with finance departments to ensure contractual compliance.
