About the role: Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Administration Assistant/receptionist to join our small but dynamic team at East Sydney Private Hospital.
Full Time: 76 Hours Fortnightly
This position is mainly Front-Of-House.
Monday- Friday Business hours of operation: 6:00 am to 5:00pm
Shifts range from: 6:00am-2:00pm 7:00am-3:00pm 9:00am-5:00pm Quarterly Thursday 5:30am -1:30pm.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Greeting patients on admission
Invoicing and receipting of patient payments
High level of client service - including management/coordination of patient enquiries via phone and or email
Knowledge of patient billing, Workers compensation, Defence, DVA, Health funds
Supporting the office manager and general administration staff reception duties
Maintaining a clean and highly functional work environment
Successful Applicants
The ideal applicant will have superior interpersonal skills, demonstrated abilities in medical administration/customer service and strong attention to detail.
All roles require empathy and understanding, due to their patient facing nature.
Selection Criteria
Experience in a medical administrative role. (Medical practice or hospital setting) or transferrable administration skills you feel meet the criteria.
• Must be able to work the shifts listed for the position you are applying for.
• Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Superior customer service and exceptional communication skills, including the ability to work as an effective team member and manage fluctuating workflows.
• Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and data entry.
• Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine love of working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of quality, compassion and professionalism.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Professional personal presentation and polite respectful and compassionate manner essential, strong work ethic required.
• Excellent phone manners and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, other doctors and hospital staff.
• Switched-on/pro-active work ethic and friendly attitude.
