About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cleaner
Food handling skills required or ability to learn
Position available for an energetic person with cleaning experience and food handling skills, for immediate start.
The successful applicants will be enthusiastic about their work. They will demonstrate the ability to work effectively on their own. You must be flexible and available to work day, evening and weekend shifts.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning all areas of the hospital
- Food handling / service / ordering / shopping
- Complete all documents required to monitor the cleaning schedule throughout the facility
- Ensure your equipment is cleaned and restocked as required
- Ensure highest level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the hospital
- Cleaning within guidelines and procedures set by infection control policies
- Attending all mandatory training and department meetings
- Abide by all OH&S policies and hospital procedures
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
- Previous cleaning experience ideally in a hospital setting and/or commercial cleaning experience
- Food handling skills desirable
- Condition of employment - evidence of vaccination against Hepatitis B, Meals, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis.
- Willing to undertake on-going education and self development in these areas
- Be reliable, self-motivated and have a friendly nature
- Effective communication skills and good organisational skills
- Ability to follow direction
- Customer service focused
- Contribute effectively to a team environment and independently as required
- Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail is critical
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work loads
- Neat and tidy appearance.
