About the Role
As our Hospitality Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our daily hospitality operations. You'll be a key member of a small finance team where we work collaboratively to disseminate financial information to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily revenue and cash reconciliations and other related finance projects.
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Daily review of all revenues (food and beverage, etc.) and post in the general ledger.
- POS adjustments (keyboards, vouchers, menu updates) and control of the OrderAway system.
- Product/stock management (SOH/GP/cost/price levels/stocktake)
- Debtor tracking and Ivvy reconciliation
- Gaming banking, compliance & reporting
- Credit card receipting and reconciliation
- Cash control – banking, monitoring and adjusting cash on hand
- Keno & TAB banking and reporting
- Weekly accounts payable invoice, payment processing and review.
- Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
What We Are Looking For:
- 3-5 years of related experience in hospitality.
- Accountancy skills, ideally honed in a hospitality environment
- An understanding for POS software (desired)
- An understanding for the Gaming industry (desired)
- Data processing skills, including spreadsheet packages
- Analytical and communication skills
- Unmatched attention to detail
- Proficient with ERP systems, including Microsoft Office
- Able to multitask and prioritise work effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
