We have a new and exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic professional to join our People and Development team.  This is a great opportunity for you to develop your HR career where you will have full exposure to all facets of human resources. 

The role:

As our new HR Administration Officer, you will support the People & Development team to deliver the full range of Human Resources functions ensuring that our workforce is well-managed, motivated, and aligned with our company's strategic goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of HR tasks, including supporting the recruitment and onboarding functions, compliance and administration, training and development and have the opportunity to participate in HR projects and initiatives.

The ability to build and maintain positive and effective working relationships and act with diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues is essential.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Maintain relevant human resources records to ensure accuracy and availability of information.
  • Monitor shared inboxes, triage enquires to the appropriate team member and actioning email requests.
  • Monitor and perform compliance checks including but not limited to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) worker screening clearance, National Police Checks, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration checks and right to work checks.
  • Assist with the processing of leave applications and provide employees with the required supporting documentation. Including but not limited to Parental Leave, Long Services Leave, Annual Leave, Personal Leave and Leave without Pay.
  • Prepare and complete HR documentation, including but not limited to employment contracts, variation letters, employment letters, reference checks and income protection claim forms.
  • Provide confidential and high-quality administration support to all aspects of the employee life cycle including but not limited to recruitment & selection, learning and development, performance management, grievances, disciplinary action and change management.
  • Provide operational HR advice to internal stakeholders to assist them in understanding HR processes.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant Qualifications such as Diploma in Human Resources / Business Administration
  • Proven experience in a HR Coordinator/Recruitment/Administration position
  • Demonstrated high level administrational experience and proficiency, with attention to detail to deliver quality work in a fast paced environment. 
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in appropriate software packages including MS Office, Rostering and HR, training databases and time & attendance systems
