Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a HR Coordinator to join the Human Resources team to assist us in providing a wide range of HR services to our school community. This is a full time fixed term contract through to December 2024, with the possibility of permanency.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be the ‘go to’ person for the team and will provide administrative support across various HR functions, ensuring the seamless operation of HR activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Administrating onboarding and offboarding processes including producing employment contracts, new starter paperwork and facilitating inductions
- The administration of employment cessations, role changes, transfers, and changes to conditions of employment
- Answering HR related enquiries and ensuring they are dealt with in a positive friendly and professional manner
- Assisting with end-to-end recruitment including writing job ads, screening and pre-employment checks
- Coordinatiing employee training and development programs and our health and wellbeing program
- Maintaining the Human Resources administration functions and systems
- Supporting the HR department with various projects and initiatives as needed
ABOUT YOU
You’re a ‘hands on’ doer that can make things happen, reliable and flexible in your approach. You may be a recent HR graduate or nearing completion of your studies or you may already be part of a HR team. You have a passion for dealing with people and are wanting to develop your career in HR.
You will also possess:
- Sound written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and the capacity to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, maintain high levels of attention to detail, maintain documentation and record keeping, and meet deadlines
- HR tertiary qualifications or working towards them
You will be required to have a Working with Children’s check and also undergo a National Crime Check.
