Your new company is an Australian-owned logistics & supply chain organisation. This is a multi-site role with offices based in the West of Melbourne.
Your new role
As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on people-related matters and working at a strategic level to support the implementation of a diverse range of people-focused programs and frameworks, to ensure the organisation's workforce capabilities and employer value proposition support the achievement of the organisation's strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver a high level of proactive and reactive support and advice to managers and staff in relation to people-related matters, such as employee relations, organisational development and change, retention, performance management, and policy and procedure
- Guide and support line managers with end-to-end recruitment activities, including all onboarding and staff inductions
- Work with line managers on annual staff performance reviews, and subsequent training and development to facilitate staff development and career growth
- Address workplace relations issues, including performance management, conduct and grievances
- Ensure that all OHS compliance and relevant staff training is up-to-date
- Conduct a review of all HR related policy and procedure, ensuring that it is up-to-date with current legislation
- Streamline processes involved with personnel related documentation
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary level qualification in a relevant HR discipline
- Previous experience in a similar role, within a similar industry
- Sound knowledge of employment law and legislation
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work with autonomy and take ownership of all HR tasks for the group
