The HR Officer, reporting directly to the General Manager, holds a significant position in assisting Allied managers in attaining both operational and strategic objectives. This role also involves ensuring operational excellence through hands-on HR administration on a day-to-day basis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Independently and efficiently administer all HR tasks and day-to-day operations.
- Offer managers HR support, guidance, and advice on various HR matters, employee relations (ER), and workplace issues.
- Coordinate the recruitment and selection process, which includes drafting employment contracts, agreements, and position descriptions.
- Offer guidance on policies and procedures through counselling sessions.
- Manage employee onboarding, compliance checks, inductions, and offboarding processes.
- Organize the annual performance and development planning cycle.
- Oversee and maintain HR records efficiently.
- Establish and maintain effective processes/systems for all HR functions, while identifying areas for improvement to ensure continuous enhancement and adherence to best practices.
- Provide insights to the Board on prevailing labour market conditions and suggest remuneration recommendations that balance attracting and retaining talent with sustainable cost management.
- Engage in various HR projects and initiatives.
- Embody the ALLIED Values by setting an example through daily actions, behaviors, and decisions.
- Ensure compliance with Allied Pumps' policies and procedures, including Health and Safety regulations.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks and responsibilities associated with the role.
Desirable Experience and Knowledge:
* Previous experience in HR within a manufacturing organisation
* Previous experience in developing process and implementing system improvements.
* Knowledge of Employment Hero and Xero desirable but not necessary
