About the Role:

They are seeking a proactive and dedicated HSE Coordinator to join their team based just south of Perth CBD. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting a culture of safety and sustainability in the construction sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide HSE training and support to employees and subcontractors to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess risks and develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
• Monitor environmental performance and implement initiatives to minimise the environmental footprint and promote sustainability.

To Be Successful:

• Proven experience in HSE coordination or a related field, preferably in the construction or civil engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety concerns.
• Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety or environmental management Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
• A commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement in HSE performance,
