About the Role:
They are seeking a proactive and dedicated HSE Coordinator to join their team based just south of Perth CBD. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting a culture of safety and sustainability in the construction sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide HSE training and support to employees and subcontractors to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess risks and develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
- Monitor environmental performance and implement initiatives to minimise the environmental footprint and promote sustainability.
To Be Successful:
- Proven experience in HSE coordination or a related field, preferably in the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety concerns.
- Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety or environmental management Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
