Are you a Return to Work and Safety Coordinator with great communication and influencing skills looking to join a global ASX listed organisation and take the next step in your career?
As part of the National Health, Safety and Environment team, your role will be to support Victoria Operations in the implementation of B-Safe procedures and processes to meet the CHEP Zero Harm vision and values and to manage all return to work and injury management for the Victorian region. This role can be based at either our Derrimut or Dandenong South sites with some time also spent at our other sites across Melbourne.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Support the HSE Manager Southern Region to work safely and productively with an effective approach to embedding HSE plans and programs.
- Monitor risk and incident management databases for completeness and follow up of corrective action close out with Site Managers.
- Provide a proactive and supportive incident & Injury response to all reported incidents.
- Execute Return to Work as per state Legislative requirements.
- Perform the functions of a Return-to-Work Coordinator for all Sites
- Manage and maintain all Vic Workers Compensation document management systems
- Provide support to sites through developing Return to Work plans and programs for the injured employees
- Coordinate HSE training program.
- Support and drive the CHEP wellness program within the Southern Region
- Collaborate with Vic Operations Teams to prepare for and execute the HSE Plans and programs and provide training in the field of Injury Management as required.
- Review pre-employment medical reports and provide feedback
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Experience in a Return to Work and Injury management role
- Project Management skills with the ability to support delivery of safety related projects
- Qualified Return to Work Coordinator
- Qualified Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong admin skills
- Effective at building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Involvement with safety management systems
- Understanding of Victoria workcover and safety legislation
