About the role:
Goodline is seeking a career focused person to lead the HSE team for our Port Hedland Division. This residential role covers our activities based out of Port Hedland and the Pilbara region. The HSE Superintendent reports to the Pilbara Manager and manages a small dedicated team of advisers covering a broad variety of works throughout the Pilbara.
Your oversight will reach out to approximately 230 people across multiple sites and activities including, plant maintenance, civils, remediation, marine works, construction, deconstruction, electrical installation / repair, fabrication, boiler-making, scaffolding, plumbing and building maintenance.
About you:
You will be an experienced leader for teams supporting a variety of trades and disciplines. Your HSE diploma (or equivalent) will provide a strong base of knowledge that you will need to apply to a variety of projects in the Pilbara. Goodline will expect you to bring a suite of training skills including Cert IV Training and Assessment, first aid, high risk work activities and auditing (Lead).
Your strong management skills will reinforce Goodline’s GOLD (leadership development) program including providing mentor support to our internal leaders. You will be Goodline’s advocate for open and transparent communication that supports a strong, evolving, respectful behaviours campaign.
Your skill set will drive safety management, occupational hygiene, compliance, auditing, emergency preparedness, communications, safety behaviour and risk management. Against this background you will benefit from having good knowledge of human factors, chronic unease and ICAM investigations.
This role requires someone with diplomacy, tenacity and commitment. Your personality will support a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and relentless pursuit of safe work places.
- Tertiary Occupational Safety and Health Qualification
- Knowledge of HSE legislation and practices
- Demonstrated experience in resources or related sector
- Demonstrable experience in delivering Project deliverables (High Level Risk Assessments, Management Plans)
- Current Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- ICAM Investigation Training (or similar)
- Auditing qualification (desirable)
- Experience with shutdowns or major plant maintenance/construction
