The role of HSE Systems and Change Manager entails overseeing the development, execution, and improvement of the project’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems. We seek a visionary individual who can spearhead change initiatives, streamline processes, and ensure adherence to HSE regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Behavioural Guidance:
- Lead and nurture the team by offering guidance, direction, and mentorship to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide coaching and educational support to team members, including contractors, to ensure the accomplishment of Health, Safety, and Environmental objectives.
- Offer coaching and mentoring on the ALPS (Courageous Conversation) process and system.
- Ensure adherence to the Incident Investigation process and assist in completing thorough incident investigations with corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Aid the project team in closing out incident investigations within stipulated timeframes to minimize open or overdue incidents and actions.
- Provide feedback for Incident Review meetings as necessary.
- Regularly review and update HSE policies, procedures, and documentation to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Coach, mentor, and practically implement Risk Management processes.
- Assist in updating the business Risk Register based on feedback.
- Facilitate the sharing of safety learnings through efficient distribution of Safety Alerts and final investigation findings via various communication platforms.
- Provide necessary training to support initiatives.
- Stay abreast of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure project compliance with all applicable HSE laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely HSE reports to regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with the Project Excellence team to develop reports reflecting key lead indicators.
- Lead and facilitate change management processes related to HSE initiatives and improvements.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and successful adoption of new HSE practices.
- Offer guidance and support to employees and stakeholders throughout the change process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (essential).
- Proven experience in HSE management, change management, and process improvement.
- Knowledge of learning teams and safety differently concepts is encouraged.
- Thorough understanding of HSE legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Essential qualification and experience in ICAM lead investigation.
- Desirable qualifications include Lead Auditor and Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
- Proven track record of achieving high performance work teams and driving culture change.
- Exceptional customer service focus with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in HSE Management System review and implementation, including behavioural-based conversations and consultation processes.
- Risk Management proficiency, including experience with Bow Tie development and Major Hazards program implementation.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity with adaptability and resilience.
- Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of business strategy and operations to align performance with objectives.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
