Reporting to the HSEQ Manager – West, you will aim to contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment, by effectively using a range of HSE tools and processes to implement HSEQ programs; and drive HSEQ compliance and a positive HSEQ culture.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and communication of the HSEQ Strategic Plan and Tactical Plan and implementation of actions to achieve strategic directives
- Support and coach workplace teams in fostering a positive HSEQ culture
- Train and advise Operations teams in the use of HSE tools e.g. Take 5, CRAs/ CRIs, JSAs, Permit to Work
- Train and advise Operations team on HSEQ program compliance, including the value of prompt reporting of hazards and incidents
- Participate in hazard identification, workplace inspection, Job Safety Analysis and Critical Risk Management processes
- Participate in the development and review of procedures and safe work procedures in conjunction with Operations
- Review compliance with workplace policies and procedures including conducting workplace internal audits and support external audits as required
- Facilitate and participate in incident and emergency response
- Lead critical incident investigations and participate in other investigations, as required; and generate HSE Alerts and Learnings
- Engage with and support HSRs, HSEQ committees; and supervisors and managers in HSEQ matters
Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years practical HSE experience
- Experience in Transport & Logistics or similar industry – highly desired
- Tertiary HSE qualification (e.g. OSH Diploma/Advanced Diploma (VET))
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001
