The reason for this role:
Goldwind Australia is seeking a proactive and dedicated HSEQ Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of our safety and compliance programs for windfarm construction and operations.
Your expertise will be pivotal in conducting audits, developing training programs, monitoring regulatory compliance, and providing essential guidance to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. You will be working with the HSEQ Systems Compliance Manager to implement and maintain a robust change management system and maintain Office of the Federal Safety Commission (OFSC) and ISO system requirements.
What you will be doing?
- Collaborate with the Safety and Compliance Manager to implement and maintain robust safety and compliance programs for windfarm construction and operations.
- Work with HSEQ teams in both construction and service and the wider business
- Maintaining OFSC system requirements and accreditation
- Perform comprehensive safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks. Develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure the highest level of safety.
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for both employees and contractors, enhancing awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Proactively initiate improvements where needed.
- Provide expert guidance and support to employees and contractors, addressing safety and compliance concerns promptly and effectively.
- Manage and update safety and compliance documentation, including permits, licenses, and certificates, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Contribute to incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and report on safety and compliance performance. Collaborate in developing action plans to enhance areas that require improvement.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders, representing Goldwind Australia's commitment to safety and compliance.
What does your background look like?
- Certificate IV in WHS.
- Proven experience in safety and compliance management.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Desirable would be experience with OFSC requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address potential risks.
- Proficient in developing and delivering training programs.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
