Human Resource Manager

Our company is an NDIS registered provider with a current workforce of about 50 staff. We are passionate about providing an exceptional level of care and service. 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. As the Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions, primarily focusing on the hiring and management of disability support workers. Reporting directly to the company director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce and ensuring efficient HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Hiring of New Disability Support Workers:

• Lead the recruitment process for disability support workers, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates.
• Design effective hiring advertisements and marketing campaigns to attract potential candidates.
• Develop innovative strategies to reach out to aspiring candidates and build a diverse talent pipeline.
• Collaborate with migration lawyers to sponsor suitable candidates when necessary.

Onboarding and Employee Management:

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
• Develop and maintain employee rosters, managing scheduling and leave requests efficiently.
• Handle employee payroll preparation, review, and authorization to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Manage employee leave requests and handle HR disputes, including workers' compensation claims and incidents.

Administrative Management and Policy Development:

• Supervise administrative staff and ensure smooth HR operations.
• Review and improve HR policies and procedures, including employment contracts and documentation.
• Design job roles and responsibilities to align with business growth and evolving needs.

Employee Relations and Development:

• Foster healthy employee relations and maintain a positive work environment.
• Plan and organize staff events and celebrations to promote team cohesion.
• Develop training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field (Degree preferred).
• Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in the healthcare or disability support sector.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
