Aboriginal Family Legal Services (ICN 7333) aims to provide free, culturally secure, legal and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims and survivors of family violence and/or sexual assault.
We are seeking a Part-time 0.6FTE (3 days) HR Officer to work at our office in Rivervale.
Who are Aboriginal Family Legal Services (AFLS):
AFLS is an Aboriginal controlled not-for-profit organisation that provides both legal and non-legal support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims and survivors of family violence. Our services are delivered in the Kimberly, Pilbara, Mid-west, Goldfields, and Perth Metropolitan.
About the role:
The role will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to oversee and assist with HR generalist tasks, involved with recruitment and be apart of the development of policies and projects. While doing general maintenance of the Human Resources department.
Skills Area:
- Minimum 1 year experience in previous similar role
- Payroll experience
- Commitment to the provision of outstanding service, including a high level of attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as being able to contribute positively to a collaborative team.
- Sound analytical skills and the ability to interpret and produce statistical information as well as the capacity to identify and resolve problems.
- Experience working in Community Legal organisation
- Experience working with Aboriginal people
Essential Eligibility Requirements
- Current ‘C’ class WA Driver’s License
- Current Federal Police Clearance
