The Role
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for advising and supporting people leaders on industrial and employee relations issues. You will also work collaboratively within the broader People and Culture team, contributing to delivering timely people solutions that have a positive impact on culture, engagement, and people performance that align with HenderCare’s strategic objectives.
More specifically, you will:
- Influence and contribute to organisation-wide HR initiatives, using best practices to support business goals and enhance performance.
- Provide expert advice to leaders on effective people management, offering tools and guidance to enhance their leadership skills.
- Mentor and coach leaders on industrial and employee relations, including award interpretation, grievance handling, dispute resolution, and performance management.
- Provide advice and support with employee life cycle and engagement strategies,
- Collaborate with immediate colleagues in the application and management of policies, procedures, and work instructions.
About You
You are a highly motivated HR professional who is solution-driven with demonstrated excellence in customer service. With your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to influence outcomes and create impactful and professional relationships.
Attention to detail and how you prioritise tasks to meet deadlines while always demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality services and advice will be critical to this role, including harnessing your problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and initiative to effectively present recommendations to reach positive resolutions.
Key capabilities include:
- A relevant tertiary qualification within HR (or other relevant degree) with extensive and relevant experience working in an HR role at a partnering or advisory level.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues impacting HR policy and practice, including a sound understanding and experience in interpreting and advising on legislation, industry awards, and policy and procedures.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and consult, influence, negotiate and communicate with all levels across an organisation.
- Knowledge of the Community Care sector and associated awards, regulations, and legislation (desirable).
The successful candidate will be required to obtain relevant pre-employment checks (NPC, WWCC, NDIS).
