The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this operational Human Resources (HR) role, will focus on delivering value-added HR services that align with company objectives.
Collaborating closely with management, this role will cultivate positive workplace culture, facilitate employee relations, ensure compliance (with relevant legislation) and drive key initiatives to support and enhance the employee experience.
This role is also accountable for the smooth and efficient administration of HR processes, managing employee records, documentation and providing support to employees and managers with regards to HR related queries.
This is a global business and this role will require a global lens.
The initial focus of this role will be on ensuring operational excellence in the way existing HR processes are delivered. A more strategic element to the role may be reviewed down the track as the business continues to grow and evolve. What we need right now though is sleeves rolled up, delivering HR services.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
HR Partnership
- Collaborating with executive management to develop and implement HR strategies that support growth and business goals for the business;
- Providing expert advice and coaching to managers on HR best practice, policies and employment law, fostering a supportive and equitable workplace culture;
- Preparing and presenting reports on HR activities, trends and outcomes for senior management (and board) to make informed decisions
- Focusing on employee development
Platform Management
- Managing and maintaining our HR systems including; Human Resources Information System (HRIS) - Bamboo HR, Learning Management Systems and others;
- Conducting audits across key systems to ensure the accuracy of the data to ensure systems can operate as a source of truth;
- Implementing improvements to HR processes though technology and automation;
- Training and support for users to ensure the systems are being utilised to their full capabilities;
- Producing appropriate reports and metrics from the systems as requested by the Executive team
- Preparing employment contracts and contract variations as required;
- Overseeing the onboarding process;
- Managing the termination process by preparing termination paperwork, conducting exit interviews, notifying relevant departments of changes as and when appropriate;
- Providing support to pivotal HR processes such as annual reviews, salary planning, ISO audits, WGEA (Workplace, Gender, Equality Agency) submissions etc
- Assisting in developing, updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and alignment with company culture;
- Effectively communicating HR policies to employees, fostering understanding and ensuring adherence;
- Effectively managing the HR inbox to resolve employee queries in a timely manner;
- Assisting in developing and implementing recruitment strategies and posting of job openings as required;
- Reviewing and improving processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
The person
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a hands-on role and being the go-to person for all things HR.
We are looking for:
- A professional who thrives on rolling up their sleeves, ensuring operations run smoothly for the business;
- A can-do attitude where ego is left at the door, and where all HR tasks are worked on, even the mundane;
- Someone who has worked in a HR Business Partner capacity or as support to a Senior HR Business Partner (e.g. a HR advisor or equivalent);
- Solid generalist knowledge with demonstrated experience working with HR systems, generating reports and insights;
- A track record in running small to medium sized HR projects across the business;
- Experience working for a medium sized global business where you have worked across different legislation and cultures;
- A high level of stakeholder management and customer service skills as well as the ability to be a culture ambassador throughout the organisation.
