The Role:
You'll be diving headfirst into the action as we gear up to unveil our new hotel in the upcoming Q3 of this year. As the Human Resources Manager, you'll take charge of recruiting key department heads initially, then lend a hand to these heads in assembling their teams. Once our doors are open, you'll lead the charge in enhancing leadership, refining organisational processes, nurturing relationships, and cultivating a culture that's all about engagement and excellence.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to!):
- Steer the ship of day-to-day HR operations, right alongside the team.
- Be the mastermind behind the entire employee lifecycle: from recruitment and onboarding to development and performance evaluations.
- Infuse our workplace with engagement and a vibrant culture.
- Handle the nitty-gritty of employee contracts, disputes, and grievances like a pro.
- Develop, manage and review our policies and procedures.
- Navigate HR and industrial relations issues while staying true to company policies.
- Take the reins on managing workplace injuries and worker rehabilitation.
- Keep our team motivated and performing at their best through effective performance management and remuneration reviews.
- Partner up with the Finance Accountant to ensure our payroll is processed accordingly.
Now, who are we looking for?
We're glad you asked! Ideally, you'll have at least 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within Human Resources. Degree in Human Resources or a related field would be music to our ears. Your communication skills—both verbal and written—should be top-notch. A thorough understanding of hospitality industry awards and legislation is essential. You are an individual capable of leveraging their skillset to establish initiatives from the ground up, while also providing ongoing HR support for the hotel and future investment ventures, as we grow.
