The RoleAre you an experienced HR professional, with excellent time management skills and a keen eye for detail? If so, this may be the role for you, as we have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Officer to join our team on a 2 year fixed-term contract.
As the Human Resources Officer, you'll be integral to our HR function, by providing efficient administrative support to the HR team and Executive Manager HR. The Human Resources Officer will form strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation, and will be involved in administrative activities across the employee lifecycle - from supporting the Talent Acquisition Partners with pre-employment checks and co-ordinating corporate inductions for new employees, to working closely with and supporting the HR Business Partners.
The Human Resources Officer will also be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant employment and safety legislation, such as the Work, Health and Safety Act 2020 and WHS IOP 015 Obligations and Responsibilities.
We're seeking a proactive individual with excellent time management and attention to detail. You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with fast and efficient data entry abilities.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the Town embarks on a culture of change with embracing a wide range of new technologies, a large capitals works program, and a number of other projects that make the Town a desirable place to live and work.

Work Related RequirementsThe preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration (or similar)/ equivalent demonstrated experience
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
