About The Role
Deliver a high-level contemporary HR service with a supportive team who are people centric, tasks oriented and culture first focused HR professionals.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and proactive HR Officer to join our team through a phase of rapid growth. The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is a key operational player of the People & Development Team in the delivery of the HR Services across Wodonga TAFE.
The position is expected to provide a high level of service and has organisation-wide impact. The role of HRO has the scope to work independently on the day-to-day tasks and will solve problems using available policies, procedures, legislation and precedent. The position holder is expected to demonstrate initiative to ensure the department continues to provide a high-quality service.
Providing generalist HR support including recruitment activities, onboarding and much more throughout the employee Lifecyle.
Selected Duties:
- Complete specialist HR and general administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- HRO will provide interpretative advice, decisions based on established operational practices, professional standards, policies and procedures.
- Drafting correspondence, data entry, document creation and records management.
- Work collaboratively with the P&D team members and various stakeholders to provide a contemporary HR Service.
- Apply HR generalist knowledge and experience in all functions of HR.
- Rethink and continuously improve the Department’s Business as usual (BAU) processes.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Diploma in Business (Human Resource Management) OR equivalent with relevant experience.
- Highly proficient digital literacy skills including Word, and Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing demands and tasks will be critical to your success.
