About us
MSS and Terregen are Australian owned and operated companies. We are specialists providing innovative civil (MSS) and environmental rehabilitation (Terregen) solutions exclusively to the Queensland mining sector. With over thirty years of development behind us, demand for our services continues to grow and we are looking to expand our operations.
A Snapshot:
- Our clients are tier-one mining companies. We don’t subcontract to other contractors.
- We prefer to promote from within and grow our business by growing our people.
- We have multi-year contracts with sites throughout Queensland.
- We are a value driven business, we exist to enrich the lives of all who work for us, and we are genuinely focused on growing together.
About the role
You will be joining the Human Resources Team at our Toowoomba City Office. The team is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, training, mobilisation and employee relationships for all our MSS and Terregen field workers.
Over the past year the focus of our HR Team has been to simplify our operations in ways that benefit our team and our employees. We have gradually evolved our procedures and processes during this period, and we look to continue throughout this year. We are very excited about this process and are looking for a team member who is keen to learn and work collaboratively to optimise our systems and processes.
We are currently implementing “ELMO”, a cloud based Human Resources management system which will centralise and streamline how we operate. This will take us from spreadsheet-based record keeping focus to an online platform.
The duties of the team include:
- Recruitment of new staff based on requisitions received from our site managers and supervisors.
- Onboarding newly hired FIFO & DIDO employees working in a heavily regulated industry.
- Travel, accommodation bookings and amendments for employees.
