Unique opportunity within coal mining for a Human Resources Officer.
Your new company
A global mining conglomerate with operations throughout the world are seeking a permanent Human Resources Officer to join the large workforce of 900 employees. This position will see you work in a residential capacity at one of their key Queensland mine sites in the Central Highlands region.
Your new role
As a true HR generalist, you will be responsible for the management of the departments in their entirety, including investigations, discipline, coaching, business performance across the whole portfolio. You will be responsible for:
- Support the Human Resources Manager in the development and delivery of HR strategy and initiatives such as Talent Acquisition and Retention, Succession Planning and Leadership Development;
- Providing support in the management and resolution of workplace and disciplinary issues.
- Coach and mentor leaders to improve the capabilities required to build a strong value driven culture;
- Providing efficient and effective HR services and support to key stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this position, you will require:
- Previous experience within mining, or heavy industry with prior experience managing large portfolios
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of Certificate IV in Business Administration or HR discipline or Bachelor of Business in HR or Psychology discipline
- Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders;
- Experience with Microsoft Office and the use of SAP and Workday is desirable;
- Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
NOTE:
- Full Australian working rights are needed
- Applicants need to be currently residing in Australia (those outside of Australia will not be considered for this position)
