BASScare is a Not For Profit organisation which operates an integrated program of services including meals-on-wheels, residential care facilities, respite care, dementia specific services, retirement living, as well as planned activity groups at day centres, for older people who wish to remain active and engaged with their local communities.
Airdrie House (Corporate Office) located in Canterbury, is currently searching for an experienced Human Resources Project and Systems Assistant for a Full Time Fixed -Term 6 month contract position. Immediate start preferred.
About the role:
The role provides detailed reporting and administration support to the HR team.
Some of the duties you will be performing are:
- Generate reports and analyse HR data to support decision-making processes this includes WHS & Wellbeing, L & D and HR systems and processes
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and enhancements
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and corresponding with candidates.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
- Assist in the coordination of training and development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HR & WHS & Wellbeing policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support HR audits and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team,
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and Systems.

About you
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not essential
- Prior experience in HR administration or related role is essential
