The Human Resources Project Officer is responsible for a range of administrative tasks and projects associated with human resource activities including implementation of the workforce plan and other human resource initiatives, policy review, learning and development, reporting and administration of HR systems.
The Human Resources Project Officer contributes to the continuous improvement of operational human resource functions. They work closely with managers and others on the delivery of services and projects. They are client focussed and work with managers to ensure that policies, procedures and initiatives are implemented well and correctly.
The Human Resources Project Officer will have an opportunity to learn and participate in all aspects of human resource activities broadening their skills and abilities.
Australian Public Service Human Resources experience is required.
The duties of this position include:
1. Assisting in the development and implementation of human resource projects related to the Mint’s workforce plan.
2. Contributing to the development, interpretation, consultation and application of human resource related policies, procedures and guidance material.
3. Supporting the continuous improvement of operational human resource functions and services.
4. Managing small human resource projects.
5. Providing specialist information to managers and employees on a broad range of operational human resource matters.
6. Preparing reports, analysing the data and providing it in an appropriate, user friendly manner including data from the Australian Public Service Census.
7. Delivering training and coordinating the delivery of outsourced learning and development activities.
8. Procuring human resource-related support services from external suppliers in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Mint’s procurement policies and procedures.
9. Supporting employee engagement activities.
Security clearance
This position requires a baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Qualification
A relevant degree.
