ABOUT THE ROLE
Barker College is currently seeking an ICT Operations Officer based at our Hornsby campus.
This will be a Full-Time Permanent role commencing immediately.
We are seeking a talented and passionate ICT Operations Officer to help us provide exceptional operational and administrative support for both day-to-day operations for technology infrastructure and ICT projects at Barker College. The ICT Operations Officer is an integral member of the operations team in providing highly available services and high-quality customer service across all campuses in the School. The role is primarily responsible for providing essential administrative duties to ensure that ICT services, functions and operations are working as expected.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head of ICT, ICT Infrastructure and Operations Manager and other senior members of the Barker ICT team with administrative duties to ensure that ICT services, functions and operations are working as expected.
• Generate meeting agendas, minutes, and actions and follow up as required.
• Assist the ICT Infrastructure & Operations Manager with contractor management and liaison, especially electrical, communications and security contractors.
• Assist the ICT Infrastructure & Operations Manager with the planning and implementation of building projects and renovations across all school campuses.
• Collaborate with other staff to facilitate the delivery of special projects and complete in a timely manner.
• Asset management: organise audits, providing reports of assets at end of life (EOL) with expiring maintenance, and ensure accuracy of asset records of any equipment owned, purchased, or leased by the School.
• Documentation: ICT Department documentation of services, processes and procedures are accurate and follow up with relevant staff as required
• Invoicing: including invoice sign off against approved budget.
• Procurement: including organising competitive quotes, checking against approved budget, raising of purchase orders, receiving and receipting of goods in a timely manner, and accurately recording new assets into the School’s asset management database.
• Security: Administer the school’s building security systems.
Key Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in office administration or related field is preferred.
• One to two years in of experience in administrative role.
• Accreditation in Service Management methodologies such as ITIL would be an advantage, but not essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field is preferred.
• Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and documentation skills.
