Operating out of more than 80 countries, this blue-chip freight forwarder specialise in providing a wide range of solutions for their wide customer base. This business is now looking for an experienced, customer-focused Import Officer to join their team in West Melbourne
Your new role
Your day-to-day responsibilities for this role are:
Working with the invoicing team, raising invoices, focusing on both costs and revenue
Managing all incoming communication via phone and email with internal and external stakeholders, providing visibility and updates throughout the service timeline
Working with customers and the wider team to resolve AR and AP queries
Planning and prioritising shipments and deliveries with a focus on achieving deadlines and KPIs
Solving a range of transport issues as they arise, such as weights, documents, and measurements in line with load size, and available space
What you'll need to succeed
Proven freight forwarding experience
Experience using the Cargowise platform
Knowledge of handling FCL and LCL airfreight cartage
Strong customer service experience in the logistics space
The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders both internal and external
Strong financial acumen
