Power Systems Officer
Joining our team means you'll be part of something that really matters. As our Power Systems Officer, you will be based in Perth and responsible for implementing the asset and operational management plans within the Region. This requires a balanced and sustainable delivery of asset performance to support Regional objectives, while also working collaboratively with district personnel to deliver operational and customer service excellence.
Your role will include:
- Ensure Assets are built and maintained in line with agreed plans, budgets, standards, and processes.
- Ensure Asset performance is aligned with divisional and corporate performance objectives.
- Contribute to development and implementation of Asset Management Plan.
- Maintain asset data (GIS/ENMAC/Electric office/ Ellipse) and fault reporting data supporting divisional requirements.
- Issue, monitor and review work package delivery to support effective and efficient works delivery.
- Undertake quality assurance checks in accordance with Remote Communities quality assurance requirements.
- Procure/source equipment and appropriately qualified contractors to ensure the safe, timely and quality completion of projects.
- Develop asset maintenance packages and manage within approved maintenance budget.
- Manage the customer quotations and designs in accordance with customer timeframes, profit margin and Horizon Power Procedures and design rules.
- Ensure cooperative and effective working relationship with Works Delivery team.
- Ensure projects packaged within approved budgets.
You will have:
- An electrical trade qualification and /or an Advanced Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Must possess WA Driver's Licence Class 'C' or 'C-A'.
- Preferably 6-8 years technical experience in the networks business, including appropriate industry licenses or certificates of competency.
- Distribution Network Design Experience at a utility level.
