About the Role
The Youth Housing and Reintegration Service (YHARS) program aims to increase housing solutions through coordination of opportunities and resources being offered to young people 12-21 years of age who are currently at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness in the South West Corridor of Brisbane. YHARS seeks to maximise a young persons capacity to be independent, self-reliant and connected to appropriate social and community supports including assisting them to source stable and appropriate housing. The YHARS program is part of the Housing and Homelessness Services provided by WMQ.
The Intake Worker position (Office based role):
- provides a high quality customer-centric service experience through the initial assessment and triaging of needs
- provides warm and successful referrals to services
- works collaboratively with the team to deliver phone based brief intervention support
- provides a coordinated response with stakeholders for ongoing support needs.
About You
In addition to being able to meet the position requirements above, the successful applicant will also need to demonstrate strong communication, computer literacy, organisational and time-management skills.
