Intermediate Accountant - Client Facing Role

The Employer

Our client is a well regarded and established accounting practice in the Sydney CBD. They work with a variety of privately owned businesses and SME’s across a diverse range of industries. 

As an Intermediate Accountant within the Business Services team, you will support the Senior Accountants and Partner in providing compliance and advisory services to a number of individuals, trusts, partnerships and companies (including family groups) up to $100million annual turnover.

This is a great role for anyone seeking direct Partner and client interaction.

Job Description 
In your role, you will work closely with the Partner attending client meetings. You will also have a good mix of tax compliance and business advisory.

• 50% client meeting and sales
• 50 % tax consulting and advisory work 

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Preparation of financial statements, taxation returns, company trusts, individual and self-managed super funds. 
• Attend industry events, client meetings and conferences
• Exposure to a variety of tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a.
• Networking and BD events
• Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
• Providing clients with business advisory services

Suitable candidates for this role will ideally have: 

• At least 3 Years experience working in Business Services or Tax in Australia
• Commenced or completed CA/CPA qualifications
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic and pro-active mentality
• A strong desire to build and maintain client relationships
