Our Business
Brisbane Infrastructure (BI) brings together Council's asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction, services, maintenance and transport operations activities.
Our Branch
Transport Planning and Operations (TPO) have a key role to play in planning and maintaining Council's transport network and in implementing the Transport Plan for Brisbane to enable the efficient and sustainable movement of people and freight.
The Role
As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of our branch through data-driven insights and analytics. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the establishment and management of our data portfolio, enabling us to make informed decisions that enhance our performance and drive innovation. With a focus on customer-centricity, you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging your exceptional communication and negotiation skills to drive impactful change. Your ability to synthesise complex information, coupled with your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, will be instrumental in identifying opportunities and developing recommendations that drive continuous improvement.
- lead customer-focused initiatives, fostering collaboration to address customer needs
- coordinate development and use of business intelligence tools
- design data visualisations for actionable insights
- develop tools for ad-hoc data analysis and monitoring
- formulate functional requirements for datasets
- facilitate project delivery using project management skills.
To be successful in the role:
- understand and interpret strategic branch needs adeptly, with a track record of conducting complex analysis
- possess strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- demonstrate excellent written and oral communication abilities, including preparing business cases and delivering presentations.
