Your Role:

The IPL Operations & Technology Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of operational and technology support for Chubb's IPL business. This role will work closely with peers and leaders within IPL, as well as key Chubb stakeholders, including Operations, IT and Finance, to ensure seamless ongoing support to our internal and external customers. This role will oversee the operation and development of user technology platforms, including managing critical projects to ensure they are delivered to a high standard and on time. Additionally this role will work closely with the Transformation team with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.

This role reports to the Head of IPL, A&NZ, and works closely with senior leadership to ensure daily efforts meet established goals and strategic objectives.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage the existing and future IPL technology platforms across Australia & New Zealand
• Responsible for all BAU aspects of the IPL Evolution platform
• Work with the IPL team to identify, develop and implement Evolution improvements
• Co-ordinate systems & platforms in terms of Underwriting, Distribution, Operations and IT to achieve and maintain an aligned operational workflow & reporting, including control of UAT and sign off on new releases
• Assess the efficiency of systems, processes and people to maximise productivity and quality objectives
• Work with relevant stakeholders to define future strategic requirements to further maximise efficiency and productivity, in line with IPL strategy
• Manage the governance of projects, including ensuring proper change management practices are implemented and resources are properly assigned and managed
• Proactively manage all phases of project activities to time, budget and quality (from initiation through implementation and close)
• Use data to assess the efficiency of systems, processes and people to maximise productivity and quality objectives.
• Maintain service delivery, quality assurance, operational efficiency and process improvement within IPL
• Ensure process, procedures, tools and systems are continually challenged and improved
• Support senior leadership in the execution of key initiatives, including but not limited to delivering and monitoring of remedial actions
• Evaluate service delivery in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide system or process training to staff as required
• Manage IPL interactions with Transformation, IT, Risk, Finance and Operations to ensure all parts of the operation are aligned with the IPL strategic direction

Qualifications

• Ability to execute projects independently with minimal guidance; individual must be proactive in attaining results quickly and accurately
• Be solutions focused and drive pragmatic outcomes
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Well organized, self-motivated and has ability to learn quickly
• Demonstrated experience in project delivery
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry
• Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with all Chubb stakeholders as well as in dealing with agents, brokers, and clients
• Demonstrated ability to reduce complex material and situations into understandable training segments for use by internal and external customers
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• PC proficiency including MS Office
• Planning & organisational experience
