Job description

(HE04) $69,043 to $75,677 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed term, full time position available for 10 months.

This position is based in Whyalla at the Adelaide Rural Clinical School (ARCS) learning centre and is an opportunity to join a passionate team of people who support medical students on rural placements across South Australia and Broken Hill.

As part of a small team, you’ll work to provide IT and eLearning support to staff and students, both in-person and remotely, and maintain IT and AV equipment in our learning centres and student accommodation.

This position is currently available for 10 months due to the fixed term Commonwealth funding for the program. However, the Adelaide Rural Clinical School has been operating in Whyalla for more than 20 years and there is likely to be an opportunity to extend the contract into the future.

This role will include opportunities to travel to other ARCS locations including Port Lincoln, Port Augusta, Kadina and Port Pirie to support our education activities and events in those locations. You will be an integral part of the ARCS team who are training the next generation of rural doctors and helping to build thriving rural communities.

To be successful you will need:

  • Sound experience in IT and eLearning support, preferably in a higher education environment, including providing and ensuring the delivery of IT information, advice and support for the utilisation of learning technologies.
  • Experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to diagnose and resolve IT issues.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and taking responsibility for the efficient delivery of a range of student related IT support and administrative functions, including prioritizing and organizing the delivery of challenging workloads and timelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing the full suite of Microsoft applications, Zoom, and remote IT support tools.
  • Knowledge of issues relating to student education and clinical placement in rural areas (Desirable).

This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
