Job Description
We are recruiting for a motivated and focused IT (Information Technology) and IS (Information Security) Manager to join our Brisbane-based team. A permanent, full-time position reporting to the CEO, the role will suit someone looking to take responsibility for the IT and IS aspects of a growing multi-national company. Primarily based in our Northgate office, this role can also include some remote and flexible work arrangements, by agreement.
Magnetica’s IT + IS Manager is responsible for ensuring the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software across Magnetica’s global organisation, which encompasses our offices in Australia, the UK and the US.
Your essential experience to meet the requirements of the role will include:
- Internally championing all aspects of IT and IS.
- Reviewing and enhancing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation.
- Maintaining and working to continuously improve our ISO 27001:2022 compliant IS Management System (ISMS).
- Day-to-day ad-hoc IT support to the broader team.
- Collaborate with other domain experts in support of medical device product cybersecurity activities.
- Running regular checks on network and IS, including monitoring reports received from external service providers.
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
- Coordinating installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Collating and sharing regular operation system performance reports.
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for team training and skills advancement in IT, Cybersecurity, and IS.
- Evaluating technology risks and developing disaster recovery plans.
- Relevant qualification(s) in the field(s) of IT, IS or Computer Science.
- Demonstrated experience of successfully leading and influencing individuals and teams to deliver IT-IS projects and maintenance programs.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a focus on task completion (a finisher).
- The ability to successfully collaborate with technical and non-technical staff.
- Being a team player that can also ensure individual workload is successfully delivered.
- A willingness and ability to take on non-core tasks to support team goals.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn and apply new skills.
