It Service Desk

G2 Netting develops and manufactures large scale proprietary flexible netting design solutions for the horticultural industry. The company focuses on the structured layout and engineering, component level design, analysis, manufacturing, material supply and installation for high intensity horticultural applications.

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Service Desk technician to come aboard and take control of the company wide IT administration.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide basic Level 1-2 IT assistance to 50+ users across the G2 Netting Group of Companies.
• Oversee maintenance and support of all IT equipment including computers, routers, phones, printers and related software.
  • Set up and maintain company computers, printers and phones.
  • Basic router installation and configuration including networking.
  • Install, configure and update software. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher level third-party providers.
• Knowledge in MS 365 Administrator to manage users, join computers, password management and setting up shared mailboxes, MFA, One Drive, SharePoint, MS Teams etc. 
• Dropbox for Business Administrator: Manage users, MFA, folders, folder membership and access requests etc.
• Maintain IT inventory register.
• Propose IT hardware and software purchases.
• Recommend improvements to IT systems and identify & promote best practises.
• Based at Sheidow Park, SA and reports to the IT & Data Manager.
• Must be willing to travel and service multiple sites in SA, VIC and NSW.

Skills, Characteristics, Qualities and Experience Required for This Position: 

• Previous experience in an IT support role (1 year minimum).
• Good experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Microsoft operating systems.
• Self-motivated, decisive with the ability to work well independently.
• Willingness to learn and grow and define the position.
• A passion for everything IT.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in Dropbox for Business an advantage.
• Driver’s license required.
