About the role
The IT Support Officer is primarily responsible for delivery of first and second level desktop, mobile, network, and infrastructure support and troubleshooting for IT. The role will also include supporting the development and implementation of business and IT projects.
Role responsibilities include:
- Providing first and second level computer and telephone support for local and remote user.
- Training and coaching users in system functionality, including developing training and user reference materials.
- Provide set-up and introduction to CEFC systems for new users.
- Setting up and update systems access/ profiles for employees.
- Undertaking maintenance and support for the Corporation’s standard operating environment, internal networks, infrastructure, cloud, and communications systems.
- Identifying opportunities for improvements in the delivery and maintenance of CEFC’s IT systems, equipment management, and IT/ communications -related expenditure.
- Maintaining the asset register for IT and communications hardware and software.
- Liaising with suppliers, service providers, contractors and consultants.
- Providing input into business case development for projects, focusing on the implications and impacts for CEFC systems and users.
- Providing support for the implementation of project.
- Developing and implement IT solutions to common business problems.
About You
Supported by a relevant tertiary qualification in IT or a related field as well as Cyber security for IT administrators and ITIL certification, you will bring to the role:
- 3+ years on the job experience in an IT support role.
- Experience in troubleshooting errors in hardware and software, networks and applications.
- Experience in providing first level support over the phone for customers on-site and remotely.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including M365, Azure, Intune (Microsoft Endpoint), SharePoint, and Windows Operating Systems.
- Demonstrated ability and experience working in and contributing to a high maturity cyber security environment.
- Experience in any of the following will be well regarded: M365 and Azure, Meeting room technology, VMWare, CRM Platforms, Financial Management Systems, Business Intelligence Dashboards and reporting, Cloud Services configuration and management, Backups.
- Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate technical information to end-users.
- Adapts communication style to meet the need of the audience.
- Excellent internal client focus and builds rapport and develops productive relationships.
- Effectively manages own workload by planning and prioritising.
- Effectively manages multiple tasks, workstreams or projects.
- Ability to manage high pressure situations and perseveres when faced with obstacles.
