Vail Resorts own and operate ski areas including iconic resorts such as Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham in Australia as well as Park City, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb and Vail in North America. Working across our three Australian resorts, this role is based at Perisher, the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere, located in the beautiful Snowy Mountains region of South-Eastern NSW and just a two-hour drive from Canberra and the Far South Coast. There will be some flexibility for hybrid working arrangements depending on operational demands and by negotiation.

As an IT Support Officer within Vail Resorts Australia, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and technical support to our users both on-site and remote, across our resorts and locations including Perisher, Hotham and Falls Creek. Our infrastructure supports a wide range of operations and enables us to deliver an Experience of a Lifetime to our guests and employees. You will have a strong understanding of how IT supports business requirements including desktop, infrastructure and systems, as well as adhering to service level agreements.

In a typical day in this role, you might:

• Utilise effective technical and interpersonal skills to provide first and second level support for all desktop, infrastructure, and system issues both indoors and on-mountain.
• Ensure incidents and resolutions are recorded within the IT Service Desk and knowledge base.
• Perform routine checks, maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with members of the Vail Resorts Australia IT Team and contribute to projects and initiatives.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Two to three years’ experience in an IT support role.
• A fundamental knowledge of network and server infrastructure and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows OS and Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• A tertiary level qualification in Information Technology.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills and enjoy problem solving within a fast-paced environment.
• Initiative and the ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license.
• The ability to ski/snowboard or willingness to learn will be looked upon favourably.
