With an ever-growing footprint of award-winning projects in Southeast Queensland, we have a rare opportunity for a part-time IT Support Officer who is eager to learn and expand their knowledge within the IT department.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to IT Manager and working with the Systems Manager, the IT Support Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day queries and entry level duties of the IT team. You will provide front line support to end users via support calls, electronically, or in person.
The IT Support Officer will be responsible for ensuring users receive clear and consistent communication, including creating documentation or training. Due to the diverse nature of the business, the IT Support Officer will be exposed to a range of scenarios, environments, challenges, and site work, which will allow for growth in their IT knowledge.
As pivotal member of the IT department, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide first point of contact support and assistance for hardware, network, software and systems enquiries, and respond or triage as required.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues via phone, in person and electronically, and provide basic training.
- Uphold applicable data security and permission/approval protocols.
- Troubleshoot user access issues across various business platforms.
- Assist the IT department with the setup and deployment of new devices, applications and platforms.
This is role would be part-time initially, however as the role develops overtime there is the potential to become a full-time position within the IT department. This position would be suited to a student who is currently undertaking or looking to undertake study within IT.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong communication, troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Logical, proactive and solution oriented
- Previous experience installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks and printers.
- Experience using Office 365 suite and SharePoint at an intermediate level.
- Some exposure to Azure and Entra ID.
- Previous experience in a customer service or IT role (Desirable).
- Currently undertaking study within Information Technology/and or similar field (Desirable).
