We are currently seeking a Junior Assistant Accountantto join Wentworth team.
Position Description:
The main responsibilities of the Accountant consist of but is not limited to:
1. Providing support to Accounting Team for daily transactions;
2. Performing daily bank reconciliations;
3. Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment to employees;
4. Assisting in managing tuition fee collection, ensuring timely and accurate recording of payments
5. Reconcile tuition fee accounts and resolve any discrepancies
6. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
7. Assisting with the preparation of management reports including budgets and forecasts
8.Other duties as assigned.
To be successful in the role you will need the following attributes;
- Successfully completed an Accounting/Commerce degree within the past 1-2 years
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Office
- Experience with financial based software packages (Xero/MYOB)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to learn and gain knowledge quickly
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines
