Joseph Mazzeo Costs Lawyers is a boutique law firm located in the CBD specialising in legal costing litigation.
We have an opportunity for a motivated JUNIOR LAWYER to join our team.
Position Overview:
This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to work closely with our Principal Lawyer and Senior Associate. As a Junior Lawyer at Joseph Mazzeo Costs Lawyers, you will be involved in various aspects of legal costing, including file assessment, bill preparation, and court appearances.
The Role:
- The opportunity to work alongside and learn from Principal Lawyer and Senior Associate
- Review and prepare files for assessment of legal costs
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis to support the Principal Lawyer and Senior Associate
- Assist in the preparation of bills of cost, advice and objections
- Appearances in the Costs Court
The Ideal Candidate
- Admitted to legal practice with 1-2 years PAE
- While prior costing experience not essential, a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the intricacies of legal costing is crucial.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Hardworking and adaptable
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence
