THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a permanent, full-time Key Account Manager. In this role, you'll manage our client's most important customer accounts. Serving as their primary point of contact, you'll build strong relationships across all levels of the customer organisation. Your goal is to understand their needs, ensure deadlines are met, and contribute to their success. You'll have the chance to grow existing businesses and explore new opportunities with potential customers. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy acting as a strategic advisor to key customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Develop relationships at all levels of customer organisation from the CEO to the Purchasing Assistant.
- Act as the main point of contact between customers and internal resources.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of customers' objectives and their position in the market and industry
- Customise solutions to meet customers' evolving needs.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure fulfilment of long-term goals.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Meet sales targets and drive business growth.
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be shortlisted for this exciting opportunity you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in business, science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Account Management, specialising in specialty ingredients such as surfactants, dispersing agents, chelating agents, and others.
- Experience selling into the Home Care and I&I Industries.
- Commercial acumen and pipeline development expertise.
- Ability to connect with technical and purchasing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
