How you will have impact:
This position plays a key role in the Australian sales function, owning specific accounts to achieve business growth and sales targets. In the Cygnett style, the Key Account Manager will nurture current relationships with our customers, treat them as partners and look to develop new relationships. The sales team work as a team and encourage and support each other to meet targets as a department.
Responsibilities will include:
Sales Planning and Forecasting
- Complete strategic ‘Store Plans’ for nominated stores and maintain them
- Identify potential new business for existing products
- Review your stores sell thru-data weekly/monthly and action appropriately through proactive recommendations to the store managers, to drive sales (replenishment orders) and effectively manage stock (to minimise stock returns)
- Ensure merchandising and in store promotions at all nominated stores is appropriate and in line with total product range.
- Ensure that there is a regular training process in place with all stores to increase Cygnett product knowledge.
Sales Performance and Management
- Achieve nominated store and National Account sales budgets set.
- Manage sales and stock at customer level where appropriate to reduce stock returns.
- Manage approved call cycle for all nominated stores
- Evaluate sales success of all products and categories at customer level and provide feedback to PD team.
- Ensure a full detailed customer call card is maintained.
The skills we think you will need for success include:
- Business degree or similar
- Ability to build genuine relationships based on credibility and trust
- A drive to win new business and nurture the business that you have
- A keen interest in the fast moving industry of tech and tech accessories
- Organisation and time management - Capability in setting sales targets, implementing plans, strategies and goals and follow ups/follow through
- Data driven decision-making
- Adopts solution based selling techniques, delivering innovative sales solutions
- Ability to participate in sales strategy meetings by providing local market feedback, pricing, and sales requirements
