Austal has an exciting part-time (0.8FTE) or full-time permanent opportunity for a Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) Coordinator to join Austal’s AU business. This role forms part of the L&OD team within the People and Culture Department.
The role is responsible for maintaining highly efficient administrative processes, coordinating and scheduling in the areas of training, learning and OD - to ensure quality customer experiences for both internal customers and the efficient operations of the L&OD team. It also includes a business reporting and financial reconciliation/receipting requirements.
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
- Respond to training, learning and organisational development queries and feedback on courses, programs or BAU delivery
- Register, liaise and monitor bookings for employees on internal or external professionals development courses, programs and events
- Managing and organising multiple training bookings and make decisions on adjustments needed where necessary
- Organise and maintain training materials and resources
- Oversee, monitor and maintain training, learning & organisational development receipting, reconciliations and invoicing
- Coordinate and action correspondence accordingly
- Assist with project related work
- Lead professional memberships, education assistance and charterships for Austal
- Collaborate with members of the P&C function and L&OD team members when responding to queries - to ensure consistency of approach across Professional Development (PD) and Safety & Compliance training
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- Previous experience in an administration and or/coordination role
- Demonstrated track record in planning and scheduling of activities
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Sound administration skills and high attention to detail
- Demonstrates initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Collaborative, open to new ideas, with a learning mindset
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal with sound ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Proficiency in ExceL and the ability to learn new systems
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card) or be willing to obtain one
