What you’ll do
Reporting to the Microbiology Team Lead, you will be responsible for a wide range of microbiological tests, including quality control testing and Environmental Monitoring, and you will be allowed to improve our processes. In addition, you will contribute to training exercises. Responsibilities include:
Environmental monitoring of the production facility, including viable, non-viable, and utilities testing such as water and compressed gas sampling.
Housekeeping activities, stock take, and stock control, goods receipt, and media manufacture.
Visual inspection of process simulation trials.
Ensuring appropriate quality systems are followed to meet GLP, GMP, and HSE standards.
Understanding the quality control processes and performing appropriate tasks in the laboratory to meet customer demands.
Essential for the role
Knowledge and understanding of Microbiological testing and analysis.
Computer literate (Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc).
Knowledge and understanding of the principles and concepts of compliance management and Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Laboratory Practice.
Knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health and Environment.
Desirable for the role
Qualified in Tertiary Education in Science majoring in Microbiology or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
Functional mastery of written and spoken English.
Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices.
Competent in problem-solving and microbiological risk analysis.
Highly proficient in time management and administrative tasks.
Qualified or working towards tertiary education in Microbiology or related scientific discipline.
