We are looking for a Landscaper Leading Hand to join our team.
City to Sea Landscapes provides landscaping and playground installations, upgrades, and garden maintenance for childcare centres across VIC, TAS, SA, NSW & QLD.
Due to growth in our business, we are building our Melbourne-based team and need a Landscaper Leading Hand to head up the team. With a broad range of experience across landscape construction, you will work predominantly in Melbourne and some work in SA and TAS when required. (Ability to travel for work is a must).
The Leading Hand role will require you to be motivated, fit and enthusiastic to both manage and work alongside our team. It is important you are a team player and an excellent communicator.
You will be responsible for the delivery of works such as shadesails, decks, pergolas, playground equipment, irrigation, concreting, fencing, paving, gardens, turf and more. You must be willing to be very hands-on, particularly as we build the team.
Your skills will include the ability to read and interpret plans, setting out of jobs, as well as the management and mentoring of staff, daily job and scheduled works management, WHS, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver each project successfully. You will be fully supported by our Director and the administration office.
Strong Structural Landscaping experience will be required.
Any landscaping/trades industry contacts to assist in both recruiting your landscaping team and local subcontractors to use when needed will be considered.

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate/supply proof of:
- Structural / hardscapes and softscapes landscaping knowledge and experience
- Previous experience managing landscaping job sites and staff
- Ability to deliver projects on time and to budget
- Ability to work within a childcare centre and represent our company in a professional and appropriate manner
- Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude
- Initiative, reliability and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding eye for detail
- A flexible approach to work
- Physically fit
- A strong commitment to safe work practices
- Landscaping qualifications or relevant experience
- Current Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
