About the role
AEMO’s Digital division is seeking a Release & Environments Lead to play a pivotal role in the success of WA’s Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM). This is an opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to make a significant impact on Australia's energy landscape. This position is critical to ensuring seamless updates and upgrades, enabling AEMO to operate the WEM efficiently and reliably. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in release management and environment coordination to ensure seamless deployments and contribute to the efficient operation of Australia's energy markets.
What you will be doing
- Coordinating the development of processes for code releases through multiple environments.
- Managing all code releases and ensuring they meet approval criteria and program schedule.
- Developing and maintaining the environments strategy and plans, working closely with end user groups.
- Ensuring all aspects of each environment are fit for purpose and supervising environment activities.
- Maintaining documentation and facilitating successful handover of environments.
What you will bring to the role
- A degree in Information Systems, Technology, or a relevant discipline.
- Extensive professional experience in Release Coordination, Change Manager, Environments Manager or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of code release management and control protocols.
- Experience in coordinating source code migration and configuration management.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycles and relational databases.
